Chugga Chugga Woo Woo

The Kiddo's daycare provider (a wonderful woman that we consider a dear friend) gave him a train set as a Christmas present. He's been doing nothing else since we got home today. He's in heaven.

Kiddo's Jar = full (which means his mom's is as well)

Diggin the New Digs

All moved! Whew! What a weekend! I got sick on top of it, but still was able to get the new place together enough for when the Kiddo came home from the Christmas weekend spent with his dad.
He was so excited to see that he had his own room with all his toys in it.

He had presents from many friends and family members waiting for him to open and he wasted no time. There aren't pictures of all of them, but thank you, thank you, thank you to ALL of our dear loved ones who thought about him/us this holiday.
The evening was spent with his toys, followed by watching movies together before bed.
Quality bonding time if you ask me!

One part of our bedtime routine is where we "talk". He sits on my stomach and we talk about his day and often sing songs together as he tries to prolong bedtime. Last night we sang a few songs that I learned back at Girls Camp 15 years ago (excuse my voice, the cold isn't gone).

If you're out there...

Stranger knocks twice.
Honski opens door.
Stranger: Is Honski here?
Honski: Yes, I'm Honski.
Stranger holds out a giant Christmas card and gift.
Stranger: I'm doing this for a friend. They love you a whole lot.
Honski: Uh, wow, thank you.
Stranger turns and leaves.

I never knew Santa's Elves loved me, but just in case they read my blog (hope so since I don't know how else to get in touch with them)....

Filled my jar with happiness, love, humility, peace of mind, and thanks. Really, thank you so very much for making me feel loved!

My Home

These are the hills I played on as a child...
And every once in a while...
when I'm weathering a snow storm...
I need a little reminder that something else exists.
Ahh yes, I remember.

The Girl and The Fig

The girl = my adorable sister in law
(and 13 of her closest family members...)

The fig = lacing every dish we ordered at a GREAT restaurant called....

SO delicious, wonderful atmosphere (minus the Kiddo's squirming/minor complaints), and the best company I could ask for!

The Kiddo and his cousin are really starting to love each other instead of ONLY fighting over toy trains. However, I MUST say that I think his cousin is happier to share his toys than the Kiddo is. Thanks Kiddo's Cousin (and his Mommy who made the whole dinner possible)!

We all returned home that night with happy, fig-filled jars.

Pineapple Skillz

There I sat - happily chopping up pineapple at my parents house when my sister said, "This summer, I saw street merchants cleaning pineapple in a really cool spiral pattern." Sounded like a challenge to me!
Awww yeah!

Funny Faces

My best friend was playing with the settings on her webcam and turned out some hilarious pictures. The Kiddo and I tried it and it kept us entertained for the better part of an hour.

Now we are so happy, we do the dance of JOY!

I got a job! After almost 3 months of unemployment, and some RATHER stressful moments, I'm back in the game! This time in an accounting department with a construction company. I'm loving it so far. Now on to finding a new place to live before January 1st! Anybody got a basement they're looking to rent out?

Do you guys remember Perfect Strangers? Cousin Lary and Balki from Mypos? When the Dance of Joy came to mind, I HAD to look on Youtube to see if they had a vid. Ohhhh man I'm usually not this corny, especially about stupid old sitcoms, but it was a fun trip down memory lane.

And then to make things worse, I HAD to watch the opening credits and then had the theme song stuck in my head for the rest of the day. I seem to have a knack for remembering every word to songs I haven't heard in years. Not sure if that's a blessing, but it still filled my jar!

Embarrassed to admit that Mark Linn-Baker or Bronson Pinchot contributed to it, but the jar is full!
